Motörhead Records New Album

Legendary rock band, Motörhead, has just wrapped up the recording of their 21st (!) studio album with producer and NRG alumni, Cameron Webb. The new record was recorded in NRG Recording’s Studio A with from what we heard blasting down the hallways, Motörhead fans will not be disappointed! Rumor has it that the album should be released by the end of summer!

The Wondergirls Featured on Iron Man 3 Soundtrack

Rock supergroup, The Wondergirls, are featured on the new Iron Man 3 Soundtrack with their cover of Sly Fox’s ‘Let’s Go All the Way’. The single was mixed by NRG Recording owner, Jay Baumgardner in Studio C. The Wondergirls, fronted by Iron Man 3 actor, Ashley Hamilton, was formed back in 1998 and has had featured members such as Scott Weiland, Mark McGrath, Ian Astbury, Shannon Leto, Jay Gordon, Ryan Shcuk, Doug Ardito, Ken Andrews, Martyn LeNoble and Troy Van Leeuwen. ‘Let’s Go All the Way’ features UK Superstar, Robbie Williams, who recorded his vocals in NRG’s Studio A.

New Single From Alien Ant Farm

After a lengthy hiatus our longtime friends, Alien Ant Farm, are back with their new single, “Let Em Know”. Mixed by Jay Baumgardner, the new single marks the comeback of the great AAF! The band is currently in the middle of a PledgeMusic drive to help fund the release of their seventh studio album, Always and Forever. This Date in History

13 years ago today, a little known band from Vacaville, CA, called Papa Roach, released their breakout second album, Infest. Infest was produced and mixed by NRG Recording owner, Jay Baumgardner in NRG’s Studio B. Infest sold 30,000 records the first week of it’s release and has gone on to sell more than 7 million albums worldwide.

Girl on Fire Announces New Album

Seattle based rock band, Girl on Fire, has announced the release date of their debut album, The Takedown. The Jay Baumgardner produced and mixed album will be coming out July 9th on Century Media Records.

Bush to Release ‘Live at Stubb’s’ Concert DVD

On Monday, April 15, Bush will release the concert video, “Live at Stubb’s” on DVD/Blu-Ray. The concert was filmed in 2011 at the historic Stubb’s in Austin, Texas. NRG Recording owner & producer, Jay Baumgardner, who mixed the Bush’s hit album, The Sea of Memories, also mixed the 5.1 Surround Sound audio in NRG’s Studio C. Korn in Studio A

We were so happy to have our old friends in Korn back at NRG as they just wrapped up drums for their new album. The new album is being produced by long time friend and client, Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Eve 6, Sugar Ray, Avril Lavigne) and engineered by NRG Alumni, Mark Kiczula.

Korn recorded their multi-platinum hit album, Follow the Leader, back in 1998 in the freshly built, Studio B with producer Toby Wright.

Butcher Babies Begin Recording New Album
