Having been primarily a rock recording studio for years, we take great pride in our guitars, amplifiers, and pedals. We’ve been collecting vintage guitars for decades. There’s nothing like the sound, tone, and feel of a classic vintage guitar, especially one that has been touched by legends. At NRG we have a collection of classic vintage guitars like a 1959 Fender Stratocaster, a 1959 Fender Telecaster, a 1959 Fender P Bass, a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Jr and so much more.

These guitars have been used on countless of records throughout the years and are some of our favorites to play. So much so that we thought it would be a great idea to make a song using every vintage guitar that we have. After a day in Studio B, a whole rack full of vintage guitars and our vintage Ludwig kit we were able to lay down a great track and an even more impressive video.

It was an interesting process to really get into the tones of these different guitars. They cover a range of different styles they can be used for and feel amazing to play. The vintage tear and look is just icing on the cake for most people. Out of all of our guitars, the Fender 59 P Bass and Telecaster have been used the most with all of our clients. So if you’re ever in the studio, keep in mind that these guitars have touched living rock legends throughout our 30 years of recording. Maybe one day we’ll tell the story of how you played on of our guitars!

We’d like to give a big shoutout to our engineer Daniel Pampuri and his brother and guitar player Filipe Pampuri for creating this with us. It’s been a lot of fun making this for you and we have some more great videos on the way, so stay tuned.
